Vanity? No, more like insanity.

Just in case my last post had you thinking, wow, that girl is V-A-I-N. Here I am to show you that to live in the quasi Arctic, you have to check your vanity at the door or risk loosing appendages.

Daily, in fact multiple times a day, I can be seen trudging through the Arctic drifts, fashionably attired in what I like to call, Arctic Haute Couture.

I know you might be laughing about the shades but don't. Snow as far as the eye can see plus bright sunshine equals snow glare. It won't warm you up a sniff due the Arctic gale force winds but it will burn your retinas right though. Shades are not optional.

And to complete the look, you must have these very stylish, trendy and so 2009 boots. I know, I know, you all want some. Who wouldn't?

All this is necessary for walking the Arctic Runway.

(picture taken at my parent's acreage, the winter scenery in the city consists of 4 foot tall snow banks and road covered in salt and sand. Trust me, this is much more pleasant to look at)

Hopefully that clears up any misconception about my vanity ;-)

Ha you should see my attire in this same weather. Shoes with no backs but with fur inside. Mitts if I remember and usally a hoody over a short sleeve top. People look at me like I am crazy. You are the norm...

We are not *quite* as cold as you guys, but are still bundled up.

There's a fine line between vanity and pride. You should be proud.

And hannah is right. It doesn't matter how many layers you throw on--we all know, now.

I could never live where you live. Not that I don't like your look here (wink, wink) but it's just I'm too lazy to put all that on and if I had to go out in those temperatures well, I think I would just DIE! Enough about me... you look great, boots and all! : )

HAHA! You look sexy even in all your winter gear! How DO you pull that off? :) You never come across as vain, my dear. You can't help it that you are so dang adorable! Oh, that photo is gorgeous! But yeah, I know what you mean - very pretty to look at ... from INside, near a roaring fire, and sipping hot chocolate. Other than that, Brrrrr!

okay reading that made me really cold. well sort of. i am sitting here in a tank top and shorts under the ceiling fan.

i do know one thing for sure... there does not exist enough winter gear to keep this thin skinned texan warm in your winter! agh. i don't know how you do it but i do know that you look HOT in your hat and shades and those boots...

how cute are you all bundled up?? we have been having some much welcomed warmer weather for the past two days. Frankly...I don't think I could live anywhere colder than NY. Kudos to you :)
You're right, too...I am usually BEHIND the camera, not too many pics of me.

Ahhh, you still look hot! I bundle up like that twice a day every day and it is driving me crazy (we walk J to school and pick him up). Today is pouring rain and a balmy +7, but it is supposed to drop down to -15 tonight and snow, so there you have it Winter in Canada, eh!?

That's hilarious Kams, I don't think I even own that many layers... okay I totally do, but I've never had to wear them all at once ;-)
