Friday Fun

Today was a great day. First of all, the sun was out, it was warm and the snow has started melting. Can I get an alleluia?! It was so warm, I wore a light jacket and it wasn't even done up. For those of you who do not understand what -40 Celsius is like, this may not seem like such a miracle. Here in the quasi-Artic however, this is front page news. After our winters, we sure do appreciate spring.

Today was also filled with friends, chatting and tons of play time for the kids. First I met with two good friends, Candace and Amy. Why I never take pictures with these two girls is beyond me. Tomorrow night ladies, the camera is coming out at dinner! Consider this your warning.

Then it was off to Rotten Ronnie's for lunch. Rotten it was. I still feel sick to my stomach. Mental note, order for the kid, wait till later for you.

Then I stopped at Starbucks for a couple of Caramel Macchiato’s for me and Anna . She had a tough week with some wonderful (and I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible) anonymous comments. She needed a double shot of espresso (hopefully I'll stop shaking by bed time!) after the week she's had. We had a great visit that included a self portrait:

Not my best but she looks cute as always.

And some card making. Uh oh, Momma's found a new way to spend money!

The flower in the middle was Kamden's idea. He has a good eye me thinks. Maybe he can teach me a thing or two.

Then it was report card day for Jack.

As expected he is doing very well and to celebrate he got to pick a supper out at his place of choice. He picked Burger King. Double mental note, Rotten Ronnie's and BK in one day, NOT a good idea.

It was a great way to end off a week wherein work was low on the totem pole for the first time in months.

Happy weekend to all!

I had a great morning too, but thanks for ditching me this afternoon ;-) Kidding of course......I enjoyed my nap. You were not the only one feeling a case of the stomach upset after our lunch, why didn't I listen to my gut when I said no to McD's the first time. Convienence isn't everything but I just wanted to get home sooner for my nap lol. See you tomorrow night!

LOL. I have to agree with Kate - it is brave to eat somewhere with a name like that. Next time choose something like Delicious Digs or Sensational Sandwiches. Heehee. I'm so glad you are seeing some signs of Spring! It was warm here today too for the first time in a long time it was over 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't know what that translates to in Celsius and I'm too tired to look it up. Sorry. But it was nice. Hope you have fun with your weekend plans! Keep us posted!

No, I don't know what -40 is like but I can totally sense your joy in being able to wear a light jacket! So I will be joyful with you :-)

You & Anna are so stinkin' cute! I hope your coffee catch-up was able to cheer her up after the TROLLS visited her! SO mean. But so nice that she has you.

glad you had a good day, but I have to agree.. I don't think I could eat anywhere that has Rotten in their name... that sounds like a stomach ache in the making!

I'm inclinded to take my camera to dinner tonight too. I haven't seen these girlfriends in a while and in order to see them sooner than later I think I will need digital memories!! HA! Have fun!

Oh and glad it's warmin' up for you up there near the North Pole! ; ) I couldn't handle it, guess that's why I am a Texan!

Okay, you should not eat somewhere with Rotten in the name! That should be a big clue as to how it will make you feel later! For your warm day I would probably have to pull out every bit of warm clothes I own...but I am glad yall are seeing signs of spring. oh and you had my favorite drink at starbucks! yummmmmmmmy....

Oh you guys look like you are having so much fun. I had to make my cards all by myself :(.

You were so sweet to bring some Starbucks for Anna after the week she had, if I were closer I would have too. Perhaps on my next visit :)
