HELP!

Internets (and outernets) I need your fashion expertise. Mine is contained in my pinky toenail. I have been trying to expand it but I think I may have fashion dyslexia.

This weekend I am attending the classroom portion of the on-line courses I teach. That means that my normal yoga pants and a sweatshirt to sit in front of my laptop are NOT appropriate attire. I have never taught the face to face portion because public speaking is a phobia in my books. But the opportunity arose for me to attend one and see what it’s all about this weekend. I am even going to talk….gulp…I think. I go from being all okay, I know this stuff, I CAN do this…. To what in the name of sweet Fanny Adams have I gotten myself into?

But let’s get back to fashion shall we, my inner fears are not that intriguing.

First I had to set up the tripod and figure out the timer on my new camera. Here's Kamden and I trying it out.

Okay enough goofing around, this fashion stuff is serious business!

This outfit? Jay and I stumbled across it this weekend and once I put it on I had to have it.

Don't you love Kamden's pose? EEK! Perhaps he hangs around with his mom too much?

Here's where you come in.

Does it qualify as business casual?

And what kind of shoes work best? Ballet flats (obviously NOT the black and white ones I have on in the picture - even my pinky toenail knows that!) or the wedges?

Please send help before the fashion police arrest me!

It's a cute outfit and I think with the wedges. I think it would work fine. Good luck with the class!

See you later - Kellan

That looks great! I vote heels!

Also - YOU LOOK HAWT.

You're going to be more styling at your FFIS than I will be at mine.

My attire will consist of khaki capris and a variety of t-shirts ;)

I don't think you have fashion dyslexia at all! That is a cute outfit - I think it definitely qualifies as business casual. The wedges should be good with it and a clunky necklace of some sort. Just don't get too dolled up and distract all of your male students. ;)

Wedges all the way!!
You for sure won't be getting arrested by the fashion police, well unless it's for being too hot!

Love the outfit, and totally is business casual. I think...it has been a few years since I had to dress for the office, but by my fashionista obsessive watching....(that totally made no sense)...it works in a killer I am the queen and I know what is in kinda way.

Sorry, but you're asking a guy that thinks a tie-dye t-shirt and clean cargo shorts are acceptable evening wear.

Oh girl, you look GOOD! Love the "long shorts!" That outfit is awesome and that top is a great color for you!

I have to go with the mainstream and say yes to the wedges.

Is Jay gonna let you out of the house in that outfit 'cause the men will be lookin'! ; )

That is a fantastic outfit and add another vote for the wedges!

Good luck!

Look at skinny, minnie you!! That outfit looks great on you... I love the colour.
I agree, the wedges would be better than flats for the class - also make you taller, give you confidence, ya know (not that you'd really need it, I bet you'll do great!).
I agree with teeni, you might add a necklace to complete the look.

Great taste, no fashion crimes committed here, not by far ;)

I definately vote for the wedges...although I will caution, if you are not used to wearing them practice first. I bought a pair of them last summer, thought they'd be a breeze because I'm a high heel wearer and promptly wore them out with Corey. I was doing great until my clumsy feet and the lack of "wedgie practice" (the show kind not underwear) landed me with a twisted almost broken ankle.

Practice and they'll look fabulous with that outfit! Good choice.

I haven't worked in an office in about 8 years, but it looks pretty casual to me. Do they normally allow capris or sleeveless? If so, then it looks nice. I've also never been a fan of open-toed or backless shoes in an office environment.

But that's just me.

I think you look HOT. Totally.

Although I like the heals better, I think the flats might be better for a business environment.

Love the outfit and the wedges are my vote. Not sure what my opinion is worth since I haven't had an office job for about 5 years. Good luck and don't let the fear get to you too much!

HOT MOMMA.

Love the second pose. You two should be the next top models or something.

I like BOTH shoes (not worn at the same time of course) so either pair would look super cute.

I love the outfit...I want it. :)
